Topic: Looking Good – Cleanliness and Tidiness

3.3.2 Read and understand simple sentences.

4.6.1 Spell words that are given to be memorised.

Learning objective:  By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to:

i.                      Read simple sentences in text book and power   

               point slides regarding cleanliness.

       ii.    Listen to sentences read by teacher and point to the pictures

              display on the screen.

.     iii.    Write words regarding bedroom cleanliness and tidiness.  

       v.     Dictation according to the text book unit 2 page 16 cleanliness.

                                            

Educational Emphases:

     

i.                     Moral Value: Cleanliness and tidiness. 

ii.                    Multiple Intelligences: Visual-spatial  

Language Content:

1. Vocabulary: combs, plaits, brush, fresh, wash, squirt, rinse, bubbles.

2. Grammar item: Simple present tense.        

Teaching aids: Video about Mr Bean cleans up his mess,

                        Text book Illustrations about washing hand steps,

                          Video about Barney – Clean Up Song. 

                 

Previous knowledge: i)  Pupils already know some of the vocabularies regarding   

                                       cleanliness and tidiness.

                                  ii) They know how to read simple sentences too.

                                  

Anticipated problem: Pupils might have difficulty to spell the words given.
